Event Assistant – Circularium
Circularium is looking for an intern to help coordinate the site and various events and also to manage the welcoming of organisations hiring our available venues. You want to learn all the facets of event organisation and coordinating a community of sustainable projects at the heart of Brussels’ circular economy hotspot? Then this offer is for you!
About Circularium :
…Circularium is the transformation of over 20,000 m2 of industrial space into a major centre for local innovation and circular production dedicated to the city. The site brings together more than thirty** residents involved in short circuits, cultural activities and neighbourhood life. They include Bleu Noir Brut, Freddy met Curry, KamiStore, Kilomet, Le Magasin Gratuit, la MicroFactory, Gilbard, Regglo…and many more!
Circularium is both a workspace and a meeting place for everyone. It also hosts a variety of events, such as Repair Cafés, activities for local children, conferences, etc. The Circularium is managed by Makettt, or Make IT Towards Transition, a Brussels- based company taking initiatives that accelerate economic and social transition, in particular through the reallocation of unused real estate.
Your role at Circularium :
During your internship, you will be asked to carry out various tasks:
Events: with the help of the Circularium coordinator, you will be responsible for organising various types of event. You’ll help to design, monitor and organise events and in-house activities for the Circularium community.
Follow-up of rental requests: Circularium offers a venue rental service for non- profit organisations and companies wishing to organise their event on our site. You will help to follow up the various requests, welcome the teams and ensure that any needs are met.
Prospecting and strategy: helping to implement a prospecting strategy to find new prospects for the hire of our function rooms. You will help to identify and reach new potential targets in the Brussels landscape
Community Project monitoring: with the help of the Circularium coordinator, you will help monitor and manage development and improvement projects for the site (general signage, improve common spaces and community facilities).
Profile :
Are you dynamic, organised, autonomous with ability to take initiative? Are you interested in circular and solidarity economy? Would you like to learn how to run a successful event from conception to completion?
Previous experience in project management is a plus and/or in event organisation.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and French. Dutch is an asset. Knowledge of Adobe Indesign is a plus.

Details and timing:
Job location: Circularium, 95 Chaussée de Mons, 1070 Anderlecht.
Working hours: ideally 28 hours/week based on 4 days a week, evening work may be required. Your work schedule may also be adapted for certain weeks to suit your school commitments.
Start date: mid-september
Duration: approximately 4 months, ideally until the end of December.
